Artificial Intelligence

Researchers are trying to formulate the same capabilities as in humans to support art using Artificial Intelligence (AI), machines with memorization skills, language comprehension, learning, reasoning, expression and recognition, and a symbiotic interaction with humans who feed it. It is not new to introduce computational methods in the Arts. Almost 150 years ago, Ada Byron shared her dream of a music composer. Artificial intelligence creating art is a fundamental approach to help humans understand more about the human brain and its creative abilities and also to help improve the performance of computers. In recent years, researchers have made significant strides in creating artificial intelligence-based "artists" using complex algorithms. This complex information is creating stunning images, unique music, profound poetry, and momentous movie scripts.

Our Technology

Our virtual assistant has been in development for more than 10 years in a collaborative effort between several public and private institutions as well as private companies. This virtual assistant has advanced capabilities such as being able to use first-order multivariate logic and interact with the "E" theorem tester of the Munich University of Technology. Unlike conventional assistants, this assistant creates multidimensional graphical representations for each phrase or concept in its memory and responds to the user by association of ideas and not by means of pre-programmed questions and answers or neural nets. In other words, this assistant works by comparing complex concepts and not simply pattern matching. Its general knowledge base is 100,000 words and its vocabulary is more than 50,000 words long; further aided by a vocabulary of more than 30,000 words on science, technology, business and law. We have achieved a lot but Raquel-IA still needs a lot of development so if you can and want to support us, we will be very grateful:

AI and the Arts

AI-based virtual artists represent an opportunity to enhance human creativity with many unique ideas. Collaboration between humans and machines is a very exciting artistic and symbiotic relationship. One of the specific things that differentiates humans from other creatures is creating and enjoying art without the need for a utilitarian reason. Our creative approach is for the user to describe something with words, even in a rhetorical way, that is to say using ekphrasis, in the same way that a client explains what they want to the living artist at the time of commissioning an artwork. The virtual artist will then interpret it using his own meta-heuristic algorithm to find a solution with artistic and aesthetic sense. Finally, the virtual artist will produce his own "work of art" that represents that description; be it a poem, book extract, quotes, song lyrics, or a description of what the user wants. In that sense and in some way for the first time this effort will allow the viewer to become the artist and admire their own works, produced through the virtual artist!
